Kefallinia and Ithaki are two of the remarkable Ionian Islands off the west coast of Greece however the names are spelt, whether Kephallinia, Kephalinia, Kefalonia, Cephallenia, Cephalenia, Cephalonia, Cefalonia, Ithaka or  Ithaca.

Kefallinia and Ithaki: A Historical and Architectural Odyssey is a lavishly illustrated book with nearly four hundred photographs and drawings uniquely depicting the architecture and complementing the detailed history of all past periods.

The illustrations, particularly the photographic essay at the beginning of the book, also reveal the tragic loss to the traditional architecture and urbanism of the islands as a result of the disastrous earthquake of August 1953.

Hopefully readers of the book will enjoy the book's literary and visual journey to an extraordinary and timeless corner of the world, Kefallinia and Ithaki.
